  1. Honestly, the way to lose weight is to exercise! I have lost 30lbs over two years ago and have kept it off but I exercise EVERY Day-If I miss a day I am okay with it but I try to NEVER miss two days in a row. I always take Sunday off as my day of rest. My goal is to exercise a minimum of 4-5 days a week with the max being all 6. I really like the home DVD's Jillian Michaels 30 day shred will shred you in 30 days if you stick to it. I also like Jillian's cardio work out and Bob boot camp. Good Luck YOU can DO THIS...how bad do you want it??

  2. I completely agree about exercise. I too have shed about 30 pounds, and the only way I have maintained is through exercise and sensible eating. (I don't "diet".) I started the Couch to 5K program in February. It was hard, I wanted to quit, but I didn't. I am participating in my first 5K next Saturday, and I feel better than I ever have.

  3. Both great advice!

Catherine, how much each day? (I want it BAD!!!)

Pam, I have heard about the Couch to 5k! I am SUCH a wanna-be runner! I would like to try it when I am in better shape...as in not fall over dead! :) But, it is a goal of mine to be a "runner"!

Thanks, gals! I am going to do this!!!! :)

  4. WIth my first, I gained 50 lbs. I lost it by exercise (walking and Yoga (bikram - the hot kind)) and essentially, not eating much dinner... with my second, i gained 30 lbs. i just stopped bfing and now i am trying to lose about 25-30 lbs. i plan to do yoga/ walk and not eat a lot for dinner.

great runner's blog = doctor mama. she says anyone can run. even people who are overweight. the trick? GO SLOW. =) personally, i hate running so i will stick to walking and yoga.
